Returning Home

“He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.” Jeremiah 31:10

Emunah Israel is all about connecting our people to the Land and being a part of God’s plan for the “ingathering” of the Jewish people. To help promote Aliyah (the Hebrew word for “returning to our Homeland and rising up”), students from the Emunah Appleman Academic College of Arts and Design located in Jerusalem,  took part in an international competition to design posters encouraging Aliyah for the World Zionist Organization. Over the years, students from the college have won numerous competitions including the current design of the 20 dollar Shekel bill, postage stamps and Israeli national flyers. The college, which was established in the mid 1950’s, was Israel’s FIRST all-female college offering Bachelors of Liberal Arts degrees. Since its inception, thousands of women have graduated becoming teachers, graphic designers and business owners. Today, there are over 350 students attending classes.
