At EMUNAH, we believe education is about more than academic achievement—it is about inspiring young people to use their talents to improve the lives of others. That belief came to life in an extraordinary way when two ninth-grade students from EMUNAH Elisheva High School in Pardes Hanna won first place in Israel’s National Entrepreneurship Competition.
Their award-winning project was inspired by growing concerns about the safety of women and girls in public spaces. Determined to make a difference, they developed an innovative safety app that allows users to discreetly summon help by simply speaking a pre-selected code word—without ever needing to touch their phone.
Once activated, the app can immediately alert the police or a designated emergency contact while simultaneously sharing the user’s location. In moments of danger, where every second matters, this simple yet powerful technology has the potential to save lives.
What makes this achievement especially remarkable is not only the innovation itself, but the compassion behind it. These young women saw a real-world challenge and chose to become part of the solution. Their creativity, initiative, and determination reflect the values that EMUNAH Israel strives to instill in every student—leadership, empathy, responsibility, and a commitment to helping others.
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishment and look forward to seeing this inspiring idea continue to develop. Their success is a powerful reminder that the next generation is already shaping a brighter and safer future for Israel and beyond.
