The end of the school year brings graduations and closing ceremonies across all EMUNAH Centers—from our children’s homes to our schools. Each one marks not only academic achievement, but deeply personal journeys of resilience, healing, and hope.
At the EMUNAH Achuzat Sarah Children’s Home, a particularly moving graduation evening was held for our 12th-grade students. It was a celebration filled with pride and emotion, offering a moment to reflect on the long path our graduates have traveled—the challenges they have faced, the obstacles they have overcome, and the growth they have achieved along the way.
Among the graduates was Noa*, whose story moved everyone present.
Noa’s family immigrated to Israel from Ethiopia after years of prayer and waiting to return to the Land of their ancestors. While the arrival was filled with hope, her family quickly faced severe hardship—language barriers, isolation, financial struggle, and escalating tension at home that eventually required welfare intervention.
Noa and her siblings were placed in an EMUNAH home, where their lives began to change. There, they found stability, care, and a true sense of belonging, along with educational, emotional, and therapeutic support.
Today, Noa is preparing for the future with strength and determination. She will serve in the IDF and then begin college—becoming the first in her family to complete high school and pursue higher education.
“Thank you, EMUNAH,” she shared. “For giving me a home away from home and a quality education. It truly feels like a miracle happened when I came to Israel!”
The evening also honored the dedicated staff and caregivers who walk alongside our children every day—ensuring that no child travels this journey alone.
We send our graduates forward with pride and blessing, wishing them to go out into the world carrying light, hope, and strength for the future!
