A Wedding Under Fire!

On Thursday, a particularly moving wedding took place at our children’s village, EMUNAH Neve Michael.

Ori, the beloved fitness instructor at the village, was supposed to celebrate her wedding in a large event hall with 500 guests. But due to the security situation, the venue canceled the event. The young couple refused to postpone their special day, and Ori turned to the village director, David Friedman, with one simple request: “Can we get married here, at home?”

Within just a few hours, the team created a beautiful wedding canopy and bridal chair. The lawns became an open-air dance floor, the children’s dining hall turned into a festive reception space, and the director’s office became the couple’s yichud room.

The excitement grew even more when we discovered that Ori’s grandfather had served as a staff member at the [EMUNAH Neve Michael] village 40 years ago, a true closing of the circle across generations!

Despite Home Front Command restrictions allowing only 70 guests, the joy was greater than in any grand event hall. Even in these difficult days of war, the people of Israel continue to create light, love, and hope.

Mazal Tov to Yehuda and Ori! We are proud that our children’s home is also your home!
