EMUNAH Graduates Make Us Proud!

About 90% of EMUNAH Israel graduates go on to serve in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces). This milestone is a critical point in a young person’s life in Israel, especially those who have suffered abuse and abandonment and were placed in an EMUNAH Residential Home by court order. Despite such trauma and emotional hardship at an early age, these EMUNAH graduates have healed and recovered from their difficult youth to be accepted into the IDF, many of them going beyond their general service, becoming commanders and officers.  Every single one of them makes the EMUNAH Family  and Israel proud!

One of these graduates is David Starkman.

David arrived at the EMUNAH Beit Saba Elazraki Children’s Home in Netanya when he was only 12 years old and stayed till he graduated at 18, when he entered the IDF.

This week David successfully completed the IDF squad commanders’ course in the prestigious Nahal Brigade!

We are filled with admiration for David and the incredible

journey he’s undertaken, his relentless dedication to his squad

and the IDF, and his unwavering self-belief that he can achieve

whatever he puts his mind to – as can any EMUNAH graduate.

David – we have no doubt you’ll be an exceptional

commander, and we can’t wait to hear about your future successes!
