Experiencing How Emunah Turns Faith into Action

World Emunah was honored to host a delegation from the Winnipeg and Quebec regions of Canada this month. The group spent five days visiting and interacting with staff, students and children at various Emunah projects as a part of the “Ambassador Program” sponsored by World Emunah to raise global awareness about the impact that Emunah has on the people of Israel.

As continuously expressed by the delegates: “To see first hand the love, devotion and unyielding commitment and dedication expressed in each and every teacher, counselor and director we spoke with is unsurpassed. The staff is so devoted that many have been working at Emunah for 20 or 30 years! This loyalty is rare in today’s world. I believe this is a part of Emunah’s tremendous success!”

In addition to spending time at various Emunah Children’s Residential Homes, Schools and Child Care Centers located in the cities of Afula, Bnei Brak, Hevron, and Pardes Chana, the delegates visited the Emunah Sara Ronson Crisis and Intervention Center in the city of Sderot. The delegates heard first-hand from the Center’s Director, Tami Beck, how the residents of Sderot suffer from PTSD and other emotional issues as a direct result of living on the border with Gaza and having to deal with the constant threat of rocket attacks and other terrorist activities. The Center offers state-of-the-art therapies and wellness options to the residents residing in the region.

Hosting the group was like welcoming new members into one’s own Family. May our partnership continue to grow and further support the vital work of Emunah on behalf of the children and families of Israel.
