As the global umbrella for EMUNAH affiliates, World EMUNAH is always striving to connect with our partners and tell EMUNAH’s story to the world. Last week, we had the opportunity to do just that as Tema Klausner, president of World EMUNAH and Meira Lerner, director of World EMUNAH, travelled to New York for a series of meetings and conferences all aimed at strengthening EMUNAH’s presence and connections between EMUNAH members in America and Israel.
Meira had the opportunity to march in the Salute Israel Parade on 5th along with EMUNAH of America and AZM/WZO. The parade is an annual celebration of support for Israel in America and especially in New York. It was so uplifting to see so many people lining the streets and marching alongside us, all to show their love and support of Israel – even during times of hardship.
Meira and Tema also attended the Besheva Jerusalem Conference in New York where Tema was interviewed by ILTV anchor Maayan Hoffman and shared her thoughts on the importance of female leadership in Israel and the religious zionist community.
World EMUNAH also took part in the Jerusalem Post New York Conference and Meira and Tema attended the Jerusalem Post and Zaka Gala and Conference. Tema took part in a panel discussion on the topic of strength and resilience and spoke about the impact EMUNAH has on Israeli society and the life-changing work that we do in our centers.
Tema and Meira also had the chance to meet with the leadership of EMUNAH of America. They discussed how important it is for us to continue working together to strengthen our global partnerships and connections between Israel and the Diaspora.
It was an incredible and impactful trip that made us grateful to connect with so many like-minded friends and professionals all looking to find ways to support Israel and especially, to tell EMUNAH’s story!
